If you’re dreaming of cruising through the breathtaking scenery of Tuscany on a vintage Vespa, our recent tour in Florence was absolutely unforgettable—and I can't recommend it enough!
We started our day meeting along the Arno River, right in the heart of Florence. The vibe was lively and excited as we gathered with about 20 fellow adventurers. Soon, we were bussed out to a warehouse just outside the city, nestled in the rolling countryside. There, we got a quick, but thorough, tutorial on how to drive the Vespas. The instructor was friendly and patient, making everyone feel comfortable before we hit the open road. And for those who weren’t feeling confident with the scooters, no worries—there was a fleet of vintage Fiat 500s waiting. I honestly almost debated swapping my Vespa for a little Fiat!
Once everyone was set, we formed a caravan and kicked off our Vespa tour through the Tuscan countryside. The scenery was like something out of a postcard—lush vineyards, charming farmhouses, and rolling hills as far as the eye could see. Our guides led us smoothly from one scenic stop to another, each more picturesque than the last. One highlight was pulling up in front of Galileo’s countryside home, a quiet spot surrounded by green fields and history, where we paused for some photos and took in the peaceful landscape.
The ride was exhilarating but relaxed enough to enjoy the gorgeous surroundings. The Vespas made it easy to steer and cruise, and the sense of freedom on those narrow country roads was simply addictive.
After our scenic tour, we were treated to a delicious Tuscan feast at a beautiful estate. The setting was nothing short of spectacular, with panoramic views of vineyards and olive groves. We dove into a charcuterie board filled with local cheeses, cured meats, and fresh bread, followed by traditional pasta—everything was incredibly delicious and it was even more special sharing it with our friends from home.
As the evening wound down, we made our way back to the warehouse, where our bus was waiting to take us back into the city. Reflecting on the day, it was one of those adventures that combines thrill, culture, and stunning scenery all in one. Trust me—if you’re in Florence and looking for a fun way to explore Tuscany, this Vespa tour is an absolute must-do. We had a blast and could not recommend it more!
